PROCESS FOR PRODUCING A COATED OBJECT COMPRISING COATING LAYERS HAVING ADJUSTABLE PROPERTIES

The present invention relates to a process for producing a coated object comprising a plurality of target areas wherein at least part of the plurality of target areas is coated with coating layers having adjustable properties. The coating layers are produced by applying coating compositions to target area(s) such that the properties of the resulting coating layers match the set of properties of the respective target area(s), i.e. the coating layers are produced such that the same coating layer is not present on target areas having a different set of properties. The inventive process allows to match the properties of a coating layer, such as the flexibility, hardness, scratch resistance, light resistance to the set of properties required for the respective target area(s). This results in a coated object having higher overall mechanical and/or chemical properties because the properties of the coating layers can be matched to set of properties required for the respective target area(s). Furthermore, the present invention relates to the use of the inventive process for preparing a coated object comprising target areas requiring coating layers having different properties. Finally, the present invention relates to a system for applying â¿¿ utilizing an application device â¿¿ at least two coating compositions resulting in coating layers having adjustable properties to an object comprising a plurality of target areas, wherein at least part of the plurality of target areas having a different set of properties. La presente invención se refiere a un proceso para producir un objeto recubierto que comprende una pluralidad de superficies objetivo en las que al menos parte de la pluralidad de superficies objetivo está recubierta con capas de recubrimiento que tienen propiedades ajustables. Las capas de recubrimiento se producen aplicando composiciones de recubrimiento a la(s) superficie(s) objetivo(s) de manera que las propiedades de las capas de recubrimiento resultantes se ajusten al conjunto de propiedades de la(s) superficie(s) objetivo respectiva(s), es decir, las capas de recubrimiento se producen de tal manera que la misma capa de recubrimiento no está presente en las superficies objetivo que tienen un conjunto diferente de propiedades. El proceso inventivo permite ajustar las propiedades de una capa de recubrimiento, como la flexibilidad, la dureza, la resistencia al rayado o la resistencia a la luz, al conjunto de propiedades requeridas para la(s) superficie(s)
