These disease resistant genes are useful in the production of resistant plants through breeding, transgenic modification, or genome editing. El campo se refiere al fitomejoramiento y métodos para identificar y seleccionar plantas con resistencia a la pudrición del tallo por antracnosis. Se proporcionan métodos para identificar nuevos genes que codifican proteínas que proporcionan resistencia a las plantas contra la pudrición del tallo por antracnosis y usos de estos. Estos genes resistentes a enfermedades son útiles en la producción de plantas resistentes mediante mejoramiento, modificación transgénica o edición genómica.
