Zusammenfassung:	Systems and methods are provided for removing husk leaves from ears of corn. One example method includes imaging an ear of corn to obtain at least one image of the ear of corn, wherein the ear of corn includes a shank, a cob, and multiple husk leaves attached to the shank and surrounding the cob. The method then includes positioning the ear of corn in a holder based on the at least one image, removing the shank of the ear of corn from the cob, and separating, by air, the husk leaves of the ear of corn from the cob. Se proporcionan sistemas y métodos para eliminar las hojas de la cáscara de las mazorcas de maíz. Un método de ejemplo incluye obtener imágenes de una mazorca de maíz para obtener al menos una imagen de la mazorca de maíz, en donde la mazorca de maíz incluye un pedúnculo, un choclo y múltiples hojas de cáscara unidas al pedúnculo y rodeando el choclo.
