The invention relates to an apparatus (10) for accommodating an article (14) in a vacuum-coating installation (5), having a carrier (12) with a coating opening (18), having a retaining device (20) for retaining the article (14) in the coating opening (18), and having a pivot bearing (32) for the retaining device (20), the pivot bearing being secured on the carrier (12), having a pivot axis (34), about which it is possible to pivot the retaining device (20) in order for the article (14) retained thereby to be turned in the coating opening (18), and having a bearing body (51, 5T) with a circumferentially closed mount (46) for a round body (36), which extends in the direction of the pivot axis (34), wherein the bearing body (51, 51') has a circumferentially closed mount (46) and a circumferentially open mount (48) for the round body (36), and therefore, when the retaining device (20) is being arranged on the carrier (12), the round body (36) can be introduced through the circumferentially open mount (48) into the circumferentially closed mount (46).
