Said nano-reservoir is beneficial for preparing a pharmaceutical composition for treating an infection caused by K. pneumoniae. La presente invención describe un método de síntesis de un nanoreservorio antibacteriano, el cual incluye la obtención de un extracto acuoso de la planta Portulaca oleracea L, y su incorporación a xerogel de óxido de titanio. Este nanoreservorio es útil para preparar una composición farmacéutica para el tratamiento de una infección provocada por K. pneumoniae.
