La presente invención describe un método de síntesis de un nanoreservorio antibacteriano, el cual incluye la obtención de un extracto acuoso de la planta Portulaca oleracea L, y su incorporación a xerogel de óxido de titanio. Este nanoreservorio es útil para preparar una composición farmacéutica para el tratamiento de una infección provocada por K. pneumoniae.
