La presente invención proporciona un compuesto químico de formula general (I) (ver Fórmula) obtenido a partir de la fermentación secuencial aeróbica/anaeróbica, de un sustrato de azucares no refinados por la levadura Pichia membranifaciens, que presenta un marcado efecto bactericida en bacterias patógenas relevantes para la industria agrícola.
