Zusammenfassung:Embodiments relate to a continuous process for the production of hydroxyethylpiperazine that includes feeding neat piperazine, recycled piperazine, and ethylene oxide to a reactor to form crude hydroxyethylpiperazine, in which the reactor is a continuous stirred tank reactor or a plug flow reactor. The process further includes continuously feeding the crude hydroxyethylpiperazine from the reactor to a distillation system that includes at least one distillation column, the distillation system produces at least a recycled piperazine stream and a hydroxyethylpiperazine stream, the recycled piperazine stream includes the recycled piperazine that is fed to the reactor to form the crude hydroxyethylpiperazine, and the hydroxyethylpiperazine stream includes at least 60 wt% of hydroxyethylpiperazine based on a total weight of the hydroxyethylpiperazine stream. Las modalidades refieren a un proceso continuo para la producción de hidroxietilpiperazina que incluye alimentar un reactor con piperazina pura, piperazina reciclada y óxido de etileno para formar hidroxietilpiperazina en bruto, en donde el reactor es un reactor de tanque agitado continuo o un reactor de flujo pistón. El proceso incluye además alimentar de forma continua la hidroxietilpiperazina en bruto desde el reactor a un sistema de destilación que incluye al menos una columna de destilación, el sistema de destilación produce al menos una corriente de piperazina reciclada y una corriente de hidroxietilpiperazina, la corriente de piperazina reciclada incluye la piperazina reciclada con la que se alimenta el reactor para formar la hidroxietilpiperazina en bruto, y la corriente de hidroxietilpiperazina incluye al menos 60 % en peso de hidroxietilpiperazina en función del peso total de la corriente de hidroxietilpiperazina.
