Zusammenfassung: | The present disclosure is related to a process for the extraction and purification of feruloylglycine from natural products such as Flourensia cernua leaves using hybrid methodologies such as the combination of ultrasound and microwaves. Through this type of green methodologies, the use of polluting solvents is reduced, time is reduced and the obtaining of compounds is optimized. On the other hand, the use of resources from the semi-desert is promoted, especially those considered as waste, such as leaf, to give an added value. Through this method, feruloylglycine with bioactive potential is recovered from Flourensia cernua leaves. Dehydration, milling, extraction method, solvent removal, recovery of compounds and their characterization and identification by FTIR and HPLC/MS are presented. In addition, the estimation of its antioxidant capacity by means of the ABTS, DPPH and FRAP methods. The polyphenolic compounds obtained by this method can be used in different areas such as food, chemistry, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics, among others.
