Zusammenfassung: | A cutting tool (100), a turning machine (200) comprising the cutting tool, and an associated method (400) are provided. The cutting tool comprises a tool bar (110) extending along an axis (111), a cutting head (120) located at the tool bar, and at least one sensor (130) integrated with the tool bar or the cutting head. A rotational orientation of the cutting tool with respect to the axis is estimated based on output provided by the at least one sensor. In at least some embodiments, the at least one sensor comprises accelerometers configured to measure acceleration in at least two directions (131, 132).
