METHOD OF TREATING A HAIR DISORDER WITH N-HYDROXYPYRIDINONES

The present invention is directed to a method for treating a hair disorder in a human or animal in need thereof, involving topically applying to the human or animal an effective amount of at least one 6- substituted 2-pyridinol N-oxide compound, a tautomer, or a cosmetically acceptable salt thereof wherein a hair count is increased by at least 0.5 hairs/cm2 and/or an increase the number of anagen hairs and maintain the number of telogen hairs when compared to a baseline and/or vehicle. La presente invención se refiere a un método para tratar un trastorno del cabello en un ser humano o animal que lo necesita, que implica aplicar tópicamente al ser humano o animal una cantidad eficaz de al menos un compuesto de 2-piridinol-N-óxido 6-sustituido, un tautómero o una sal cosméticamente aceptable de este, en donde se aumenta un conteo de cabellos de al menos 0.5 cabellos/cm2 y/o un aumento de la cantidad de cabellos anágenos y se mantiene la cantidad de cabellos telógenos cuando se compara con un valor de referencia y/o vehículo.
