Zusammenfassung:Described as a method for recovering lithium from clay, which comprises: (a) providing a quantity of clay that has a content of muscovite and sanidine clay; (b) separating the clay particles that have a particle size of less than 20 Ám, preferably by means of sieving or magnetic separation; (c) leaching said particulate material with acid, preferably sulphuric acid; and (d) obtaining a quantity of leached lithium. Se describe un proceso para la recuperación de litio de arcilla, que comprende: (a) proporcionar una cantidad de arcilla que tiene un contenido de arcilla moscovita y sanidina; (b) separar las partículas de arcilla que tienen un tamaño de partícula menor a 20 µm, de preferencia por medio de cribado o separación magnética; (c) lixiviar dicho material particulado con ácido, de preferencia ácido sulfúrico, y (d) obtener una cantidad de litio lixiviado.
