The disclosure relates to the materials, including nucleotide primers and probes, utilized in the methods set forth herein. Furthermore, the disclosure provides for non-naturally occurring nucleotide junction sequences per se that result from genetic recombination events and methods of detecting said junction sequences. Métodos para identificar un material genético en plantas de papa recombinantes, inclusive en los productos alimenticios elaborados a partir de dichas plantas. La divulgación se relaciona con los materiales, que incluyen cebadores y sondas de nucleótidos, utilizados en los métodos que se describen en la presente.
