CHEMICAL TREATMENT TO IMPROVE THE POZZOLANIC ACTIVITY OF CLAYS IN THE FORMULATION OF COMPOSITE CEMENTS

The present disclosure is related to the modification of natural clays that are used in the formulation of composite cements by means of a chemical treatment, so that after the chemical treatment, once they are calcined and integrated into a cementing formulation, the same offers better mechanical properties when compared with clays that are only calcined. The chemical treatment is effective, whether if an acid or a basic treatment t is used. La presente invención tiene como objetivo modificar arcillas naturales que son utilizadas en la formulación de cementos compuestos por medio de un tratamiento químico, de tal manera que después del tratamiento químico, una vez que son calcinadas e integradas en una formulación cementante, presentan mejores propiedades mecánicas al ser comparadas con arcillas que solo son calcinadas. El tratamiento químico es efectivo tanto si se utiliza un tratamiento ácido como si se utiliza un tratamiento básico.
