COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING A STREPTOMYCES-BASED BIOLOGICAL CONTROL AGENT AND A FUNGICIDE

The present invention relates to a composition comprising at least one biological control agent selected from the group consisting of Streptomyces strains, preferably gougerotin-producing Streptomyces strains such as Streptomyces microflavus strain NRRL B-50550 and/or a mutant thereof having all the identifying characteristics of the respective strain, and/or at least one metabolite produced by the respective strain that exhibits activity against insects, mites, nematodes and/or phytopathogens and at least one fungicide (I) in a synergistically effective amount, with the proviso that the biological control agent and fungicide (I) are not identical. Furthermore, the present invention relates to the use of this composition as well as a method for reducing overall damage of plants and plant parts. Una composición que comprende por lo menos un agente de control biológico seleccionado del grupo que consiste en cepas de Streptomyces, preferiblemente cepas de Streptomyces productoras de gougerotina tal como la cepa NRRL B-50550 de Streptomyces microflavus y/o un mutante de la misma que tenga todas las características que identifican a la cepa respectiva, y/o por lo menos un metabolito producido por la cepa respectiva que presente actividad contra insectos, ácaros, nematodos y/o fitopatógenos y por lo menos un fungicida (I) en una cantidad sinérgicamente eficaz, siempre que el agente de control biológico y el fungicida (I) no sean idénticos. Además, la presente invención se relaciona con el uso de esta composición así como con un método para reducir los daños generalizados en plantas y partes de plantas.
