The present invention further relates to the use of rosin resin of the present invention as binder in the preparation of inks. La presente invención se refiere a un proceso para la producción de resina de colofonia, que comprende la reacción entre colofonia, un copolímero acrílico y un metal divalente seleccionado del grupo que consiste en calcio, zinc y magnesio, que comprende además una etapa de esterificación adicional con un poliol. La presente invención se refiere además al uso de resina de colofonia de la presente invención como aglutinante en la preparación de tintas.
