Zusammenfassung: | The present invention refers to a novel hybrid device, which is best known as fluorine reflectometer, intended to measure the radiation of materials doped with optically active atoms, such as the rare earth elements. Said device is operated in two modes: in the XL-?mode, the instrument will measure the luminescence and excitation spectrum of the sample. In the RT-? Mode, the instrument will measure the specular reflection spectrum and the spectrum of transmission of slim or thick layers. A photomultiplier (photodiode enlarged in UV) is used when the XL-? (RT-?) mode is operated. The angle of incidence of the sample and the angle of the detected emission may be changed in both modes; the first is manually changed and the second automatically changed. The sensitivity of the instrument allows the luminosity of thin layers with thicknesses of 3 um to be measured, in this case the signal slightly surpassing the noise.
La presente invención tata de un dispositivo híbrido novedoso, el cual es llamado fluororeflectómetro, para medir la radiación de materiales dopados con átomos ópticamente activos, como los elementos de tierras raras. Dicho dispositivo opera en dos modos. En el modo XL-?, el instrumento mide la luminiscencia y el espectro de excitación de las muestras. En el modo RT- ? el instrumento mide el espectro de reflexión especular y el espectro de transmisión de capas delgadas o gruesas. Un fotomultiplicador (fotodiodo agrandado en UV) es utilizado cuando opera el modo XL-? (RT- ?). El ángulo de incidencia de la muestra y el ángulo de la emisión detectada puede ser cambiado en los dos modos; el primero se cambia manualmente y el segundo se hace automáticamente. La sensibilidad del instrumento permite medir la luminiscencia de capas delgadas con grosores desde 3µm, en este caso la señal apenas sobrepasa el ruido. |
