Zusammenfassung:The horizontal solar cooling system operated by a lithium nitrate-ammonia mixture, is a continuous cooling system which operation is based on an absorption cycle operated by the lithium nitrate-ammonia mixture. The system may be operated either for freezing, preservation, purposes, or for air conditioning spaces. The system mainly includes a horizontal cabinet, a horizontal absorber, a condenser, an evaporator, an economizer, an expansion valve and a pump. The heat supplied by the sun or any other heating source is supplied to the generator where the lithium nitrate-ammonia mixture is located. When the solution is heated, part of the ammonia is detached in the form of vapor and passed through the condenser where it is transformed into liquid by means of extracting the heat from a cooling fluid. In these conditions, the ammonia is passed through the expansion valve where it is expanded and the pressure and temperature reduced. The ammonia liquid-vapor mixture is introduced into the eva porator where it is evaporated by extracting the heat from a fluid, in order to produce the refrigerant effect. The ammonia in vapor phase is passed to the absorber where it is absorbed by the lithium nitrate-ammonia solution resulting from the generator, forming in this manner a lithium nitrate-ammonia solution rich in refrigerant, which is pumped to the generator where the cycle is started again. The system uses an economizer for preheating the solution that is flowed from the absorber to the generator while cooling the solution that is flowed from the generator to the absorber. El sistema de enfriamiento solar horizontal opera con la mezcla nitrato de litio-amoniaco, es un sistema de enfriamiento continuo que basa su funcionamiento en un ciclo de absorción operando con la mezcla nitrato de litio-amoniaco. El sistema puede operar ya sea para congelamiento, para conservación o para la climatización de espacios. El sistema está compuesto principalmente por un generador horizontal, un absorbedor horizontal, un condensador, un evaporador, un economizador, una válvula de expansión y una bomba. El calor suministrado por el sol o alguna otra fuente de calentamiento se suministra al generador en donde se encuentra una solución nitrato de litio-amoniaco. Al calentarse la solución parte del amoniaco se desprende de la misma en forma de vapor y pasa al condensador donde sale en forma líquida mediante la extracción de calor de un fluido de enfriamiento.
