The assay system is adapted to analyze a patient sample for quantitative expression of a prognostic genetic profile correlated with colorectal cancer recurrence. The profile includes the expression of the nucleic acid sequences of SEQ ID NOS: 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. Un sistema de ensayo es útil para predecir la recurrencia y/o no recurrencia de cáncer colorrectal en un paciente. El sistema de ensayo está adaptado para analizar una muestra de un paciente por la expresión cuantitativa de un perfil genético de pronóstico correlacionado con la recurrencia de cáncer colorrectal.
