Se describe un portafolio dietario, consistente en la combinación alimentos funcionales, siendo uno particular, caracterizado, definido y diseñado para producir como resultado de su formulación, uno o mas efectos favorables de aumento o de disminución cuantitativa en parámetros de control clínico en la bioquímica de pacientes con enfermedades específicas relacionadas con la nutrición, y que puede ayudar a la prevención, control y tratamiento de tales enfermedades, en este caso de Síndrome Metabólico.
