Zusammenfassung:The present invention is related to the medical industry in general, particularly relating to medical devices, such as devices for monitoring and surveilling different physiological aspects related to human health. More specifically, the invention refers to a novel device for taking biomedical readings in patients; the invention is characterised in that it comprises a carcass for housing a microprocessor mounted in an electronic board, this is configured and programmed for operating and controlling a plurality of removable sensor elements such as: at least a sensor temperature, at least a relative humidity sensor, at least a relative oxygen sensor, at least a pulse oximetry sensor, amongst others; said carcass preferably defines a square-shaped structure with a control panel in at least one surface thereof and connection means differentiated for connecting the cables of said plurality of sensor elements; the inventive device also comprises a universal power source; at least a wired or wireless effective communication interface for sending the information read by the plurality of biomedical sensing elements to an information processing unit that has a control and operation software for collecting, manipulating and interpreting the sensed data. La presente invención está relacionada con la industria médica en general, en lo particular se relaciona con el ámbito de los dispositivos médicos, tales como dispositivos de monitorización y vigilancia de diversos aspectos fisiológicos relacionados con la salud de las personas. Más específicamente está referida a un novedoso dispositivo para la toma de lecturas biomédicas en pacientes; caracterizado por comprender una carcasa donde se aloja un microprocesador montado en una tarjeta electrónica, configurado y programado para operar y controlar una pluralidad de elementos sensores removibles tales como al menos un sensor de temperatura, al menos un sensor de humedad relativa, al menos un sensor de oxígeno relativo, al menos un sensor de oximetría de pulso, entre otros; dicha carcasa define preferiblemente una estructura cuadrangular comprendiendo en al menos una de sus caras un panel de control con medios conectores diferenciados para conectar los cables de dicha pluralidad de elementos sensores; dicho dispositivo comprendiendo además una fuente de poder universal; al menos una interfaz de comunicación efectiva alámbrica o inalámbrica para enviar la información leída por la pluralidad de elementos sensores biomédicos a
