The invention also discloses methods for producing hydrocarbon compositions for use as biodiesel, renewable diesel, jet fuel, and other materials. La invención se refiere en general a la producción de composiciones de hidrocarburo, tal como un lípido, en microorganismos. En particular, la invención proporciona métodos para extraer, recuperar, aislar y obtener un lípido de un microorganismo y composiciones que comprenden el lípido.
