Zusammenfassung:	An expandable phenolic resin composition which comprises a phenolic resin, an acid curing catalyst for the resin, a foaming agent and a surfactant, wherein the foaming agent comprises a hydrocarbon-type foaming agent, and the surfactant is a polyoxyethylene alkyl ether having a C14-22 alkyl ether moiety and is contained in an amount of 0.01 to 10 parts by weight relative to 100 parts by weight of the phenolic resin. Se proporciona una composición de resina fenólica expandible la cual comprende una resina fenólica, un catalizador para la resina que cura con ácido, un agente espumante y un tensioactivo, en donde el agente espumante comprende un agente de espumado de tipo de hidrocarburo y el tensioactivo es un polioxietileno alquiléter que tiene una porción alquiléter de 14 a 22 átomos de carbono y que está contenida en una cantidad de 0.01 a 10 partes en peso en relaciones en 100 partes en peso de la resina fenólica.
