PROCESS FOR SANITISING SAWDUST BY MEANS OF A MACHINE SPECIAL FOR THAT PURPOSE

Described is a machine and process for sanitising sawdust for scientific and research applications in laboratory animals and particularly in animal facilities, the machine being electric power-operated where a worm is rotated in order to displace the material from an inlet nozzle to an outlet nozzle, the material being bathed in a homogeneous manner with UV radiations emitted by crystal tubes specially designed for that purpose, thereby obtaining a sanitised material for the aforementioned purposes. Máquina y procedimiento para sanitizar aserrín para aplicaciones científicas y de investigación para animales de laboratorio y bioterios principalmente, la cual funciona por medio de energía eléctrica que genera movimiento rotatorio al tornillo sinfín que traslada el material desde la boquilla de admisión hasta la boquilla de salida, bañándolo de manera homogénea de radiación ultravioleta emitida por tubos de cristal especiales diseñados, para tal fin, obteniendo con esto un material sanitizado para las aplicaciones antes mencionadas.
