Zusammenfassung:	Disclosed is an internal combustion engine (200) having a continuously variable transmission (27); a starting system comprising a starter motor (24), a ring gear (29) and a ring gear drive (26) operable on starting of the engine (200), and a crankshaft (220) having a first section (22) and a second section (23) wherein the continuously variable transmission (27) is connected to the first section (22) of the crankshaft (220) and the ring gear (29) of the starting system is connected to the second section (23) of the crankshaft (220) distal from the continuously variable transmission (27). Se describe un motor de combustion interna (200) que tiene una transmision continuamente variable (27); un sistema de arranque que comprende un motor de arrancador (24), una corona (29) y un impulsor de corona (26) operable durante el arranque del motor (200), y un ciguenal (220) que tiene una primera seccion (22) y una segunda seccion (23) en donde la transmision continuamente variable (27) esta conectada a la primera seccion (22) del ciguenal (220) y la corona (29) del sistema de arranque esta conectada a la segunda seccion (23) del ciguenal (220) distal de la transmision continuamente variable (27).
