Zusammenfassung:Disclosed is an internal combustion engine (110) having a forced air-cooling system comprising a fan (25) located outward from a centre line (Cl) of said engine (110) for directing a cooling air flow through an air passage (116) toward engine components to be cooled; a ring gear (24) and ring gear drive (27) co-operable with the ring gear (24) during starting of the engine (110); and a magneto rotor (23) rotated by a crankshaft (22) of the engine (110) wherein said ring gear (24) and said fan (25) are mounted to said magneto rotor (23), the ring gear (24) being mounted inward of and spaced from both the fan (25) and the air passage (116) and towards the centre line (Cl) of the engine (110).
