PERMANENT MOULD FOR CASTING LIGHT METAL CASTING MATERIALS AND USE OF SAID TYPE OF PERMANENT MOULD AND A CASTING MATERIAL

The invention relates to a permanent mould which is used to cast light metal casting materials, which is produced from an Ni- and/or Mn-alloyed cast iron material, wherein the Ni- and/or Mn-content thereof is measured in such a manner that the thermal expansion coefficient of the permanent mould is adapted to the thermal expansion coefficients of the respective light metal casting material which is to be cast. The invention also relates to a permanent mould which can be produced in an economical manner and which has optimised user characteristics and also optimised casting qualities. Said type of permanent mould is also suitable, in particular, as a component of a sand mould which is used to cast a cylinder block (1) from a light metal casting material. La presente invencion se refiere a un molde permanente el cual se usa para fundir materiales de fundicion de metal ligero, el cual se produce de un material de hierro fundido aleado con Ni y/o Mn, en donde el contenido de Ni y/o Mn del mismo se mide de tal manera que el coeficiente de expansion termica del molde permanente se adapta a los coeficientes de expansion termica del material de fundicion de metal ligero respectivo el cual sera fundido. La invencion tambien se refiere a un molde permanente el cual se puede producir de una manera economica y el cual tiene caracteristicas de usuario optimizadas y tambien calidades de fundicion optimizadas. El tipo de molde permanente tambien es adecuado, en particular, como un componente de un molde de arena el cual se usa para fundir un bloque de cilindro (1) de un material de fundicion de metal ligero.
