Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to a stabiliser for a motor vehicle comprising two shaftswhich extend in the transversal direction of the vehicle and can be intercoupledby means of a mechanical coupling (40), said shafts respectively interactingwith tyres of the motor vehicle on the ends thereof opposing the coupling (40).A first shaft is connected to a first coupling half embodied as a locking disk,and a second shaft is connected to a second coupling half embodied as a lockingmeans (8) interacting with the locking disk. The locking means (8) comprisesa catch element (12A, 12B) which can be controlled by a cam plate (11) that can berotatably driven by a drive source (15) against a spring device, and a blockingmember (13A, 13B) that is connected to said catch element, by which means the shaftsare connected in a rotatably fixed manner in a first end position of the cam plate(11) by a positively locking connection between the locking disk and the blockingmember (12A, 12B), the positively locking c onnection being released in a secondend position of the cam plate (11). According to the invention, the catch element(12A, 12B) is embodied with two lever arms (12A_1, 12A_2, 12B_1, 12B_2) that arerigidly interconnected and are respectively embodied with an abutment region(12A_1A, 12A_2A, 12B_1A, 12B_2A), by which means the lever arms (12A_1, 12A_2,12B_1, 12B_2) are in contact with the cam plate (11). La invencion se relaciona con un estabilizador para un vehiculo automotor comprendiendo dos flechas que se extienden en la direccion transversal del vehiculo y pueden ser acopladas entre si mediante un acoplamiento (40) mecanico, de manera que las flechas referidas interactuan en cada caso con las llantas del vehiculo automotor en sus extremos opuestos al acoplamiento (40) . Una primera flecha esta conectada con una primera mitad de acoplamiento realizado como disco de retencion, y la segunda flecha esta conectada con una segunda mitad del acoplamiento realizado como medio (8) de retencion que nterctua con el disco de retencion.
