Apparatus for purification of the internal combustion engine exhaust gas

The invention refers to the automotive industry and may be used in the construction of internal combustion engines possessing a high exhaust gas purity grade. The apparatus contains a body, inlets and outlets, a filtration insert, consisting of alternated and separated by the mashed elements layers of tangled metallic wire and aluminium chip, installed into the body and a carbon monoxide absorber of the activated carbon. The body is made of two parts, one part of which is filled with the aluminium chip and is provided with two coaxial dislocated pipes, the space between which is sealed and filled partially with a volatile liquid. The external pipe exterior surface between two body parts is provided with longitudinal ribs, the internal pipe serving as a gas duct is connected to the air chamber and the other body part is provided with the subsequently located layers of a desiccant, metal oxides mixture and an absorber of the activated carbon, is made with a possibility to remove and is installed on the internal pipe face.
