Risk markers used in a method are interleukin IL-18 and genotype of locus HLA-DQB1 class II genes. Izgudrojums attiecas uz medicīnu, konkrētāk, uz pēkšņas nāves riska prognozēšanu slimniekiem ar HIV un tuberkulozes koinfekciju, ietverot arī pacientus ar IRIS sindromu, izmantojot ģenētiskos testus. Par riska marķieri tiek izmantots interleikīnu IL-18 un genotipa HLA II klases lokuss HLA-DQB1.
