METHOD OF PROGNOSING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THERAPY OF PATIENTS WITH CHRONIC HEPATITIS C

Invention relates to a method of prognosing effectiveness of treatment of virus C hepatitis. The method provides for preparation of two samples before beginning the treatment. One sample contains patient's blood and the second sample contains distilled water. Both samples are treated with precipitating solution followed by addition of Ellmann reagent to a filtrate. A level of reduced glutathione is measured in the mixture by optical density at 412 nm. During treatment the level of reduced glutathione is measured repeatedly and compared with the initial level. Detecting an increase in the glutathione level by 2-5 mg% the treatment is evaluated as effective. This method permits to evaluate the effectiveness of treatment on 10-15 days from the beginning of the treatment.
