Zusammenfassung:	(A) N-(Pyrimidinyl aminocarbonyl)- pyridine sulphonamide derivs. of formula (I) and their salts are new, (where R=a gp. of formula (a) or (b) R1 and R2=H, alkyl, haloalky, alkenyl, alkynyl, alkoxy, haloalkoxy, alkoxyalkyl, haloalkoxyalkyl, cycloalkyl, halocycloalkyl, alkoxycarbonyl, haloalkoxycarbonny, phenyl, or halophenyl, provided that when one of R1 and R2=H the other is not H; or NR1R2=heterocyclyl; Y=halo, alkyl, haloalkyl, alkoxy, haloalkoxy, alkylthio, haloalkylthio, alkoxyalkyl, haloalkoxyalkyl or NR3R4; R3 and R4=H or alkyl, n=0-2; X1 and X2= Me, MeO or EtO. (B) intermediates of formula R-SO2Z (II) are also new. - Specifically, R=(a); R1=H or alkyl (esp. H or Me); R2=alkyl (esp. Me): Y=halo, alkyl, haloalkyl, alkoxy or alkoxyalkyl (esp.
