Zusammenfassung:The invention provides a method and device for centrally allocating a set of computing resources to each of a plurality of distributed processing means, each of which processes a portion of a database query using said set of computing resources, in order to distributively process the entire database query. The method is remarkable in that the resource allocation is made by taking into account the specific computing resource requirement of each distributively processed portion of the database query.
