Zusammenfassung: | Nitrogen is removed from flue gases by absorbing nitric oxides in an aquous solution of a metallic compound, in particular an iron(II)-ethylene-diamine tétraacetate compound. Nitric oxides are absorbed in the absorption column (12) by the iron compound, then separated again from it by reduction in the cathodic section of an electrolytic cell (4). The invention is particularly suitable for a combined process for removing sulphur and nitrogen from flue gases, in which bromic acid is produced during desulphuration. This bromic acid can be again split into bromine and hydrogen in the anodic section of the same electrolytic cell. |
