Zusammenfassung:	A drum speed discriminator for VCR is provided, which includes a synchronizing separating means for separating a synchronizing signal from a high frequency signal input during reproduction and recording, a servo means for varying drum speed during reproduction and recording to a predetermined speed mode in response to the synchronizing signal separated by the synchronizing separating means and oscillating frequency to record or reproduce the high frequency signal in a recording media, and a drum speed discriminating means for discriminating drum speed and recording signal during recording mode through comparison with set value by dividing the high frequency signal recorded in response to speed mode of the servo means during reproduction into any frequency band mode.
