TRICYCLIC KETONES

Imidazolylmethyl-substd. fused indole derivs. of formula (I) and their physiologically acceptable salts and solvates are new: Im = gp (a) or (h); R1 = H, 1-6C alkyl, 3-6C alkenyl, 3-10C alkynyl, 3-7C cycloalkyl, 3-7C cycloalkyl (1-4C)alkyl, phenyl, phenyl (1-3C) alkyl, COOR5, COR5, CONR5R6 or SO2R5; R5 and R6 = H, 1-6C alkyl, 3-7C cycloalkyl, phenyl or phenyl (1-4C) alkyl, the last opt. ring-substd. by 1 or more 1-4C alkyl or alkoxy, OH or halo; R5 is not H if R1 = CO2R5 or SO2R5; one of R2, R3 and R4 = H, 1-6C alkyl, 3-7C cycloalkyl, 3-6C alkenyl, phenyl or phen(1-3C)alkyl, and the other two are same or different H or 1-6C alkyl; Q = H, halo, OH, 1-4C alkoxy, phenyl(1-3C)alkoxy, 1-6C alkyl, NR7R8 or CONR7R8; R7 and R8 = H, 1-4C alkyl or 3-4C alkenyl, or together with N form a satd. 5-7 membered ring; n = 1-3; A-B is CH-CH2 or CCH. Also new are the intermediates of formulae (II) and (VI): A' = H or OH.
