Zusammenfassung:This invention relates to a method of sticking an apex (13) annularly in a partially joined state to the outer circumferential surface of a bead ring (12) prior to the assembling of beads in the manufacture of a pneumatic tire and an apparatus therefor. In order to prevent the occurrence of imperfect joining of the apex to the bead ring (12), an apex is supplied from its one end onto the outer circumferential surface of the bead ring (12), and the bead ring (12) is turned so as to stick the apex thereto while winding the apex therearound. The turning of the bead ring (12) is then stopped, and the apex is clamped at its rear portion and cut to size. While the turning of the bead ring (12) is then resumed to stick the remaining portion of the apex, the rear end portion thereof is moved toward the bead ring along a projecting arcuate line to form a joint portion.
