Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To display a character of a MINCHO (ancient country in China) type which can be displayed by a CRT display device, while holding the number of lines nd the number of rows of characters in the same state by setting the number of display-able dots of an LCD device to a sufficient quantity for expressing the characters of the MINCHO type, and forming a display screen of a size being equal to the CRT display device. CONSTITUTION:To a display control part 44, a liquid crystal display control part 45 is connected, and a display control of an LCD device 22 is executed. As for a graphic controller 43, that which is used for controlling a CRT display device is used, and a display control circuit constituted of the graphic controller 43 and the display control part 44 generates display data for the CRT display device. Subsequently, by the liquid crystal display control part 45, display data outputted from the display control part 44 is converted to display data for the LCD device 22. In such a way, the display data generated for the CRT display device can be generated as display data required for the LCD device 22.
