Zusammenfassung:A protective cover (3) for a paint-brush has a sleeve section (4), which can be pushed over the hairs (2) of the paint-brush, and an attachment section (7) for holding the protective cover (3) on the paint-brush stem (1), the sleeve section (4) being axially displaceable relative to the attachment section (7), when the latter is attached to the paint-brush stem (1), between a position which covers the hairs (2) and a position which exposes the hairs (2). For this purpose, a bellows (6) is preferably provided between the sleeve section (4) and the attachment section (7), connecting said sections, which bellows is self-locking in the position of the sleeve section (4) which exposes the hairs (2).
