Zusammenfassung: | Sodium alginate with low molecular weight is prepared by (1) charging 1-10 % sodium alginate solution in a supersonic wave generator, (2) plunging a supersonic wave vibrator in the solution 1- 2 cm deep, and irradiating the solution with supersonic wave of 20 KHz and 20-100 W, while keeping the treated solution at 20 deg.C using a cooling tank. By the supersonic wave treatment main chains of polymer solution are decomposed and so relatively low molecular weight polymer is obtained. The produced sodium alginate is made into fibers by spinning, or freeze-dried into sponge for use in manufacturing high water-absorptive tourniquet. |
