Zusammenfassung:Trisubstituted anilides of oleic, linoleic, and linolenic acid are potent inhibitors of the enzyme acyl-CoA: cholesterol acyltransferase and are thus useful agents for inhibiting the intestinal absorption of cholesterol. The anilides are of formula (I) or (II), where A is CH3(CH2CH=CH)3(CH2)7-O-(O)-, CH3(CH2)3 (CH2CH=CH)2(CH2)7-C(O), or CH3(CH2)7CH=CH(CH2)7-C(O)-; R1 and R2 are F, Cl, Br, C1-4 straight or branched alkyl or alkoxy; and R is C1-4 straight or branched alkyl.
