Zusammenfassung:	Apparatus for heating material comprising a generally cylindrical or a downwardly converging frustoconical shape or stepped shape vessel (10) adapted to contain a quantity of material to be heated, oriented with a substantially verticaly axis and having a central outlet (25) in the bottom for discharging heated material from the vessl, means (22) to heat the material within the vessel (10), support means (50,53,60) spaced from the vessel and mounted for rotation substantilly coaxially with the axis of the vessel (10) and providing support for the vessel (10) at an elevation above the center of the gravity of the vessel (10) loaded with the material.
