Zusammenfassung:A prepn. of a powdery calcium glycolate comprises reacting cellulose glycolic acid in wet form (pref. contg. 30-80 wt.% H2O) with Ca(OH)2 or with Ca(OH)2 and CaCO3 at 30-40 deg. C. When the molar ratio of Ca(OH)2:CaCO3 is 10-80:90-20, CaCO3 is added to cellulose glycolic acid first and Ca(OH)2 added pref. at least 1 hour later. When the molar ratio of Ca(OH)2:CaCO3 is 10-20:90-80, both are added together. The calcium cellulose glycolate has excellent properties as a disintegrator.
