ANHYDROUS CRYSTALLINE SODIUM SALT OF 5-CHLORO-3-(2-RHENOYL)-2-OXINDOLE-1-CARBOXAMIDE

An anhydrous crystalline sodium salt of 5-chloro-3-(2thenoyl)-2- oxindole-1-carboxamide of formula (I) is prepd. by stirring the corresponding hydrated form with acetonitrile at an ambient temperature. (I) is an analgesic and antiinflammatory agent and has a formulation property.
