Zusammenfassung:A passenger conveyor comprises a framework (4), a number of steps (1) supported by the framework, a pair of handrails (3) disposed on both sides of the steps, and handrail driving devices (9) each mounted on the framework for driving the handrails at substantially the same speed as the speed of the steps. The framework comprises a main frame (5) including upper and lower horizontal sections (501, 502) and an inclined section (503) extending there between. Upper and lower aux. frames (6,7) are respectively mounted to the upper and lower horizontal sections. A recessed portion for accommodating the handrail driving devices is defined by the exposed upper surface portion of the upper horizontal section.
