Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:Chlorine dioxide is generated from an alkali metal chlorate (I) in an aq. soln. and HCl at 35-70 C,with the introduction of an inert gas into the reaction mixt. so as to maintain the concn. of the ClO2, which is formed in the gaseous mixt. at less than 17%. (I) and HCl are introduced into a first reactor in a mol. ratio 0.5-3 of (I) to HCl, with the pH being 0.5-8 M. After a residence time of 2-10 mins., the prods. are passed into a system of secondary reactors that are filled and emptied successively. The temp. in each reactor is equal to or at most 15 C above the first reactor temp. and the residence time in each reactor is 20-40 mins.
