SYSTEM FOR AIRCRAFT GUNNEY

The gunnery simulation system employs a sighting panel, such as a head-up display, for presenting a field of view including the target to the gun operator. Data describing the movement of the aircraft are generated and used to generate bullet indicia for display and the sighting panel in response to the simulated firing of the guns. The bullet indicia represent the actual paths which would have been taken by real bullets. The aircraft movement data includes roll rate, pitch and yaw rate, lift acceleration, air speed gun angle and relative air density.
