Thus, 1g Nh3 in 100ml THF reacted with 9.5g (E,E)-3,7,11,15-tetramethyl-6,10,14-hexadecatrienoic acid chloride to give 5.6g (E,E)-3,7,11,15-tetramethyl-6,10,14-hexadecatriene amide.
