The tubes forming parallel passages through the matrix have an internal diameter at least 3 times the wall thickness. The open front area of each face of a matix is at least 31% of the cross sectional area of each face end a wedge shaped spacer(ceramic oxide) is bonded to the opposing surfaces of adjacent matrices. |
