Zusammenfassung:A flash evaporator for a ship's bilge water disposal system providing for oil recovery utilizes an I. C. engine's exhaust duct. Engine(15) operation, exhaust gas temp., engine power, and timing devices determine supply of the water, using an electrical drive for the water pump(17), and a circuit interrupter between power supply and motor to discontinue supply. Opt., the water supply injects directly into the duct for flash evaporation. The timing devices may delay injection for a preselected interval after startup, and achievement of the requisite exhaust gas temp.
