The present invention provides a plating solution which has excellent via filling characteristics and is capable of forming a flat plating surface.This plating solution contains a water-soluble metal salt and a sulfonio group-containing ether compound. It is preferable that the metal salt contains copper; and it is also preferable that the sulfonio group-containing ether compound has a mass average molecular weight of 2,000 to 10,000. In addition, it is preferable that the concentration of the sulfonio group-containing ether compound in the plating solution is 0.1 mg/L to 1 g/L. |
